Daucus carota
Slows down the aging process, skin softener, skin protector, sunscreen.
Macerated from fresh carrot root, daucus carota oil has the fatty acid composition of the vegetable oil (usually sunflower or olive oil) used for cold extraction, so the macerate combines the active ingredients of the carrot with the therapeutic salinity of the vegetable oil. Its antioxidant action slows down the ageing process.
Itis emollient, skin protecting, photoprotective, helps to maintain skin elasticity and is therefore excellent for the prevention and treatment of stria.
It promotes even tanning of the skin when exposed to the sun and regenerates the skin after sun exposure, helping to maintain the tanned colour of the skin for a long time.
Primarily an oil for tired, dull, ageing and wrinkled skin. For skin that has suffered environmental damage or after sunburn, carrot macerate and carrot essential oil (daucus carota) make an excellent pair for skin regeneration.

Cold-pressed natural vegetable oils may vary slightly in scent and colour. The opalescence or sediment appearance of vegetable oil does not indicate a quality defect. Some plant oils may become solid or sedimentary at room temperature, in which case gentle heating will return the oil to a liquid and homogeneous state. Ask a qualified aromatherapist for advice on the use of plant oils.
It can be used in a blend, or on its own in a face oil, mixed with massage oil, or as a body oil.
