It is important to distinguish between lavender varieties, on the one hand because they show their strongest therapeutic properties in different areas, and on the other hand, while medicinal and wild lavender can be used almost without restrictions, other lavender varieties have contraindications.
Wild lavender is an expectorant, analgesic and cooling essential oil. It can therefore be of great help in treating respiratory diseases, sinusitis and ear infections in children.
It can be used undiluted on insect bites to immediately reduce itching and oedema. For seaside holidays, wild lavender essential oil is highly recommended as it is also excellent for jellyfish stings.
It is an excellent exfoliating and wound-healing essential oil, making it an indispensable essential oil in skin care, acne treatment and scar treatment.
Can be used in a mixture, applied to the skin, in a sniff bottle, vaporized.
Insect/medusa/chalane sting: wild lavender essential oil (Lavandula latifolia spica)
Apply a clean droplet to the sting site, according to the size of the affected area, repeat every half hour until the sting is withdrawn. The following day, 3 treatments are sufficient.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
1.8. should not be used in cases of spasmodic cough (e.g. asthma) due to its cineole content.

2 drops of wild lavender essential oil (Lavandula latifolia spica)
1 drop of Eucalyptus radiata essential oil (Eucalyptus radiata)
Drip these two essential oils into hot, but not boiling water. Make sure you are safe and no children are near you, near the hot water pot. Cover your head, lean over the pot and breathe in the humid air slowly and deeply until you can smell the essential oils. Close your eyes while you do this. The blend clears the airways, loosens mucus and makes breathing easy. Repeat 3 times a day.

Apply 4 to 4 drops of the mixture 4 times a day to the chest and back between 3 and 6 years of age. Up to the age of 12, use 6-6 drops.
