Itspowerful anti-inflammatory action makes it an excellent choice for treating inflammatory processes of the skin, but it is also an important ingredient in arthritis mixtures.
Its essential oil is coloured dark blue by a compound called chamazulene, which gives it its powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and antispasmodicproperties. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, it can be used for dermatitis, eczema, asthma, rheumatic symptoms and gynaecological inflammations.
It can also be effective in allergic skin conditions, itching, hives,due to its antiallergic action. This wonderful blue-coloured essential oil also has excellent wound healing properties, which can be used in facial care.
Its intense colour makes all mixtures green or blue. The strong blue colour of essential oil can discolour vaporisers, bottle caps, skin and clothing.
It can be used in a blend, applied to the skin, in an odour bottle, or vaporised.

Rub mixture for the treatment of arthritis
1 ml blue chamomile essential oil (Matricaria chamomilla)
1 ml Italian strawberry essential oil (Helichrysum italicum)
0,5 ml of creeping buckthorn essential oil (Gaultheria procumbens)
2,5 ml calendula macerate (Calendula officinalis)
Use 5x5 drops of the mixture daily on the affected area until milky healing.

4 ml calendula macerate (Calendula officinalis)
